I poked around trying to find what lines they use but could only find the "win" and "loss" designations you posted. I did chuckle that they were touting a 3-0 day from Malinsky last March as "the biggest win of the year."

If you click on the actual side or total in the 'Last 10' column it will give you what book they used plus the write-up. It looks like they've gotten away from Belmont and are using 5Dimes, WSEX and Logans for him . I know about the two former mentioned books. Their lines are a little more volatile than the heavy volume books. So they take the best .5 or full point position for ole Dave. Monitor it for a few days and you'll see he got the best of it every time at release.

I said this on FP and I'll say it again. Malinsky is the most overrated guy in the history of this stuff. He talks such a good game that no one notices. A streaky guy that can go 9-1 as easily as 1-9 however when you get to the bottom line he's a 51.5/52% guy. The last few years he's incorporated financial market lingo into his write-ups in order to give him some AP cred yet they grade him with a D- book like Logans....lmao

There's one glaring smoking gun that illustrates they're cherry picking the best of the day's lines for grading purposes. This WAS/MIA game from Nov 10 moved quite a bit that day, from 188 to 184 to 185 on Pinnacle, and they claimed ov183.5 from 5Dimes that lasted for exactly 8 minutes:

http://www.sbrforum.com/Scores/NBA+O...297/Total.aspx

There's nonsense on there like IND -4.5 vs GST on Nov 11, where literally no decent book on SBR's list ever had -4.5 at all, and even among the shit books, only Bet365 had it for 9 minutes:

http://www.sbrforum.com/Scores/NBA+Odds/59302/Side.aspx

And ov40 in the MNF game which was largely gone by gametime:

http://www.sbrforum.com/Scores/NBA+Odds/59302/Side.aspx

In every game out of 10 they not only got the best of the line movement, in some cases they got lines that never even existed at a decent book, and in others they got lines that lasted for minutes. The closest thing I found to them not getting the best of the line movement was claiming DET -4.5 vs CHA the other day where -3.5 and -4 existed on the overnight lines and early in the morning, but that probably just means they cherry pick the best available line throughout the course of the day and not necessarily overnight.

And here's a fun read in which one of Covers "experts" claims that half points in CFB and the NFL are worth 7.5 cents each, except for the NFL 3 which is worth 22 cents:

This might have been the only time I got a little teary eyed for a tout:

PICK: 1/10/11 Auburn
Your pick was graded at: -3 Belmont
EXPERT: David Malinsky
EVALUATION: (Push)(0) - Final Score Oregon 19 Auburn 22

Ouch!!!

"The markets do not have N. C. State priced properly right now. With the modern trading largely anchored by mathematical power ratings (the Sagarin/Pomery numbers creating a magnetic field), there are going to be instances in which the numbers do not add up the right way, and the Wolfpack are a prime example."

Magnetic field!? wtf

The only thing Dave forget was the bid and ask prices....Keep trying
Dave you only need to convince a few each week that you're a winner. Naturally
the above lost.

How does this guy lose with this kind of brilliance:

"One of our favorite axioms in sports comes into play here, so let’s reach back to the library shelf – ”Often a truly bad team will be even worse than even their awful numbers make them appear to be, since they get the benefit of opponents letting up against them.” So that when we have a setting in which a team is going to take one of these weak sisters seriously, we step in."

He makes you lay DD (Fla -12.5) on the road in the SEC and you feel good about it....

The professor goes 2-6 on Sat but with what elegance:

"Last Sunday we cashed an easy 5* ticket behind Mississippi State, noting how Rick Stansbury’s team was going to be among the toughest for the oddsmakers to deal with in the weeks ahead. This is more of the same – a marketplace that is anchored down by mathematical power ratings is filled with gibberish that does not apply to the current team in any way."

No Miss St didn't cover the +10 (lost by 22)......so who is full of gibberish again Dave??

When's the last time you've seen a tout give out the 1H of
a game that wasn't named Fezzik?:

"3* #537 NOTRE DAME First half -6.5 over DE PAUL"
