Tonight I had the pleasure of revisiting binions steakhouse. Seems like the sister to hugo's cellar. I had built up some serious comps, and the next best option was 2 packs of smokes per day at $9 a pack.

The bar was nicer than I remember, the view was better than I remember and the food was good. With no Johnny blue I went with the black label and that was probably my only regret. Our party had the crab legs, filet, prime rib with the bone in, and lobster as well as assorted sides and a giant twice baked potato. The lobster was about 3 lbs for $85. This is only a good value on a comp. If I were paying cash I would have gotten the prime rib well under $40 and delicious.

The desserts menu had at least 6 options. The wine list was also plentiful. And the menu was not short either. My preference is for a limited menu but many wines and drinks, and at least 4 desserts. I have seen less, and I don't really like cakes for dessert. I went with the trio of brullees, flan, and mousse. Which I enjoyed. They are very versatile on how you want your meal prepared. When the cook had split my lobster down the middle the waiter asked if I wanted another one since my instructions were more like I just wanted it whole. But the did a fine job splitting it and didn't lose any meat, lung, or guts. I got to pick my lobster from the tank. Not many people do, but I set my eyes on that big fucker the second I got off the elevator. The restaurant is about 24 floors or so above the casino.

It might be a little pricey. But if you are smart you will play the spin game a lot and win money and earn a very good comp rate. Over .6 %. And you get both cash and comps. There is even a way to win steakhouse comps on the spin game.

Apparently I can quote stuff, maybe start a new thread, but cannot reply to a thread....

Pahrump nugget stockmans steakhouse. Serves top notch whiskey including Johnny blue. The seafood was good. The steak good. And the atmosphere is similar to that of the steakhouse at the railroad pass. A piano player. Good appetizers. I had lamb lollipops and seared ahi.
